Training on Performance Management System (PMS)

A total of 10 mid level officials of NRDCL having to deal with performance management and compact evaluation of the respective Regional/Divisional staff attended the Training on Performance Management System (PMS) and its implementation in Paro from 3rd to 5th May 2016.

Inaugurating the training on PMS, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) highlighted the importance of Performance Management System in a corporate world. He made it clear that all the employees should be made aware of PMS and its impact on the individual as well as organization performance as a whole. He urged the participants to develop a sense of seriousness for the work they are assigned to as per the agreement signed at the beginning of the year.

Following this, the participants were briefed on PMS and its implementation by Human Resources Manager who facilitated the training in the capacity of resource person from the head office. The main objective of the PMS training program was designed especially to impart knowledge and skills on PMS and its implementation.

At the end of the training programne, the participants were able to:

    1. Know the importance of PMS,
    2. Understand the mechanism of PMS and performance management processes,
    3. Understand performance planning, designing of compacts and cascading of compact targets,
    4. Design appropriate compact for the head of units under their respective Regions/Divisions,
    5. Understand different attributes involved in performance appraisal and modalities of performance evaluation,
    6. Understand performance rewards and staff development.

 

The three days training ended with the awarding of certificates to the participants. The participants shared the positive outcome of the training in helping them design compact and carry out the evaluation, thereafter.
