The theme for this year’s Social Forestry Day on 2nd June 2015 was “Plant trees for Green Bhutan”.

As part of the celebration of Social Forestry Day, the Regional staff of NRDCL based in Jakar Regional Office joined the Nation in planting saplings within Dawathang Forest Management Unit (FMU). The plantation is aimed to ensure timely replenishment of saplings in the empty space created through harvesting and fill up any other barren areas within the FMU.

A total of 500 mixed saplings like fur, evergreen hemlock etc were planted within Dawathang FMU covering one hectare of land.
