Visit of IFS Probationers

As part of annual programme, thirty eight IFS Probationers, 2013-2015 courses (Group A) from Indira Gandhi National Forests Academy,

India with accompanying faculty Dr. Sanjay Srivastava had a field trip at some of the Forest Management Units under Rinpung Regional office on 11th February 2015 to explore and experience the mechanized harvesting and logging activities carried out by NRDCL. Followed by the filed visit, the team also had an interactive session with NRDCL management on 13th February 2015 at its Head Office in Thimphu. During the interaction, the Chief Executive Officer of NRDCL and the accompanying professor discussed on the areas of mutual interest and shared present experiences for strengthening the institutional collaboration in future. The programme is being annually organized by Department of Forests and Park Services and NRDCL.

Meanwhile, the 2013-2015 courses (Group B) will be having similar field visit and interactive session with NRDCL on 23rd and 25th February 2015, respectively.
